The day dawned with perfect sun blazing brilliance and we took full advantage. The sun was shining, there was a light breeze but it wasn't too brisk and the snow was still fresh on the ground. I had to wait until the frozen layer of top snow ice was melted by the sun so we didn't end up with cut pads and legs but once I was sure it was safe off we went.
I took so many photos it would be overkill to post them all today so tomorrow I'll continue with the many adventures of the snow dogs!
We started out in absolutely high style. It only got better from there. They all spent a lot of time in the bushes in secret caves created by branches laden with snow - a true wonderland for a dog.
But what happens when you lift your head while under a bush heavy with loose snow? You get a snow shower of course. There was lots and lots of head burying in the snow to discover what was underneath it. They ran up and down the path with glee, often disappearing around a bend ...Only to come racing back with snow flying behind them like the tail of a comet.
