Let the Good Times Roll

Why do dogs have to roll in things? It's just sick. They roll in all kinds of stuff but dead things are right at the top of the Ten Best list. I was out walking in the woods the other day and decided to venture onto roads less travelled. Let's just say they are less travelled for a reason.
Finding the thing to roll in. This seems to be of particular importance and often you can see the
cogs ticking away and the decision to roll being reached. Sorry about the view. But you get the general idea. Shoulder in, head stretched, bum high and back legs braced against loamy dirt to get the smell deep into the coat.
Finding one spot to roll is never good enough. We were lucky enough to come upon two spots to roll. Hooray. You can see the right front leg is already folding in to ensure maximum coat area coverage.
This was a particularly good roll as it involved the whole body. Now, although this may be a hard photo to make out I assure you it is of Leeloo on her back, feet waving in the air, enjoying a particularly good roll in the middle of some bushes and small trees. So ... we don't walk over there anymore
