I just realized that in all my excitement about Esme I forgot to update the Karma breeding situation. Karma is in British Columbia right now at her 'boyfriend's' house waiting for ovulation. She is having a wonderful time climbing rocks, enjoying a little foreplay and hanging out with some new friends. Her family in Medicine Hat misses her like crazy but as often happens it's the owners who are most affected by the separation - usually dogs just take it in stride and treat it like a vacation!
She is being bred to (deep breath) MBIS BISS Canadian Grand Champion & American Champion HPK Tropaco Troyan Argos of Coso CGN JC. 'Argos' was the number one ranked Rhodesian Ridgeback for 2007, 2008, and 2009 and he is owned by Coso Ridgebacks on The Island with the Larjava family on the mainland.
Karma arrived at Coso last Friday and will stay there until she is bred after which she'll make her way home to Alberta. Then we just wait to see! I'll be updating her progress here and I think her mom Adine hopes to have a blog of her own set up so you can follow the puppy adventures of someone who has never had a litter of puppies before, much less a show dog! It's been two years coming now and finally the day has arrived we were all anticipating.
