Leeloo gets so stressed by dog shows. Can you tell? This was her in stealth mode yesterday morning when the sun was hitting the couch just before we left. She travels so well and is so ready to take on the world I bet she makes a fantastic special.
I haven't mentioned it in all the excitement over Leeloo's show but the Boy is probably going to need some chiropractic work. He seems to have a vertebrae aligment issues which has become more apparent of late. On Saturday he strained a lumbar muscle but I have no idea how since he didn't fall or have a major Ridgeback collision. He was perfect on his walk, jumped in and out of the truck no problem but when he came into the house he was in pain. He's much better now after a few days rest but I'd like to get him into a specialist if I can find one. I'm currently trying to find a canine chiropractor that is *not* a 2 hour drive to Halifax but if I have to take him down there I will. I suspect this will be a recurring injury until we correct the underlying issue and I can't show him with this problem since it affects the way he moves. Thankfully I did not enter him at the shows this past weekend! Poor Boy ... I hate to see him in any discomfort and he's not exactly a stoic sort ... when he's in pain he whines and looks at me with the sad browns and my heart just breaks.
